Remember making mix tapes? Waiting for your favorite song to come on the radio and pressing record and then stopping at just the right time? Or taking all the best songs from your cassette and record collection and making your own personal soundtrack? Yeah, I’m old.
This was one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend as a teenager – because it used to take that long to get the mix tape just right. Now, it’s a matter of searching for your digital songs and easily moving them into a playlist. By now, you’re probably familiar with how you do this. Maybe you make your playlists in iTunes. Or maybe you use Pandora, which makes the list for you based on your favorite songs, or 8tracks, which are created and uploaded by the user – I like the creative photographs and names of the playlists – it’s a great place to discover new music…or there’s my current favorite, Spotify.
I’ll be sharing one of my favorite Spotify and 8tracks playlists weekly.
This week’s list reminds me of singing with some of my favorite duet partners- Scott, Tracy, Daniel and Kevin. One of the greatest joys of my life is singing. If I had my way, I’d sing these songs with them, but since I can’t, I will sing both parts myself, in the car, really loud!
Do you have a favorite duet that is not on this list? Send me a comment, and I’ll add it!
